The People I Value
Posted at 09:48 AM

I notice the type of company my friends keep.  Some have "comfortable" friends - the kind that are there with you through thick and thin; they will nestle you in their midst and wrap you in a blanket of security.  Some have "influential" friends - the kind that are really passionate, really motivated, and will make you want to be a better person.  Others have "well-networked" friends - the kind that knows everybody and their mother; they keep these friends around for their social networks.

I however, have "interesting" friends - the more outlandish and wild their personalities are, the better.  My group of crazy, misfit, ragamuffin friends ranging from the 20-somethings to the 60-somethings.  I abhor dull people with their sanitized personalities. My interesting friends do not just live one life, they live enough to fill up 20+ people's lives.

And perhaps when I become old and gray, I'll have lived 20+ people's lives.
